Introduction

• The send mail administration page allows certain roles to send email using the website. The people and groups they may send to are restricted by their role, as follows;

  System Administrator, Mail Administrator and Membership Administrator

  • One or more manually added addresses
  • All members
  • Selected members
  • Selected groups
  • Selected Zone(s)
  • Selected Street(s)
  • Selected Patrol Zone(s)

  Patrol Manager

  May send to:
  • One or more manually added addresses
  • Other patrol managers
  • Selected patroller(s) in the patrol zone(s) they manage

  Street Manager

  May send to:
  • One or more manually added addresses
  • Selected member(s) in their street(s)
  • All members in each street they manage

  Zone Administrator

  May send to:
  • One or more manually added addresses

  Zone Manager

  May send to:
  • One or more manually added addresses
  • Selected member(s) in their zones(s)
  • All members in each zone they manage

Sending Mail

• 

  To send an email do the following.

  • select the recipients to send to (if adding manually, enter a comma seprated list of email addresses)
  • Enter a return address if different from the default one.
  • Enter a subject
  • Enter your text
  • If you have any attachments, add them now.
    Note 1: The Add Attachment button is a JQuery control that requires the Adobe Shockwave Flash™ player to be installed in your browser. If you see this control instead of this control then the Adobe Shockwave Flash™ player is not installed and/or enabled. You may acquire it here.

    Note 2: Attachments are not stored within the system and are deleted as soon as they as sent.

  • Click the Send Mail button.

    Depending on how many recipients are being sent to, this process may take some time so please be patient. You will always receive a return messgae indicating success or failure once the process is complete.
